The minutes of July 16, 2007 were accepted.

Jim has not had a meeting with Rev. Father Welsh, due to illness, of the Sacred Heart Parrish concerning Mount Calvary Cemetery.   They tentatively will meet at the end of September.  We had some discussion about our ongoing questions.

We did receive a complaint about items left on burial lots at the Vale End Cemetery.  Jim will compose a letter, which will be sent to lot owners in question in each of the cemeteries the town maintains, along with the Rules and Regulations, asking them to comply within a reasonable amount of time (to be determined).  It was noted that it will take time to get people to comply with the rules and regulations.

A question has come up about a permanent sign of Rules and Regulations at each cemetery.  Doreece will take a photo of a cemetery in Peterborough that was given as an example.  We can discuss this further at a future meeting.

The computer program for the cemeteries, which is handled through HMIS in Nashua, is closer to being installed on a computer in the town office.  We also need to have software installed on Jim’s computer so that he can remotely access the program in the town office.

The next meeting will be Monday, Aug. 13th, 2007 at the Town Hall Office at 7 PM.
