Before our regular meeting the Heritage Commission met with the Town of Wilton Finance Committee in the Courtroom of the Town Hall. Stanley Young made a brief presentation to the committee to request $1200 for our operating expenses for 2003. In attendance here were Robert Chouinard, Michael Dell’Orto, Gail Hoar, Leslie Wharton, and Robin Schoen.
These members, with the exception of Leslie Wharton, adjourned to the Library. Leslie had to stay at the Finance Committee for another matter. The regular meeting was called to order at 8:10.
Stanley commented on the following:
Putting money into a fund to pay for future seminars.
Enlist speakers that would be of interest to the public to come
to our meetings.
The Trifold has been completed and is very impressive with excellent colored pictures and appropriate text. Five hundred were printed at a cost of $510. They will be distributed as a handout at the Library, Town Hall, and Putnam’s Store and possibly other places as yet to be determined.
Stan made a motion that the board will remain the same for another year. Michael seconded this motion.
A letter was received from the Nashua Regional Planning Commission inquiring as to our activities. Stan will write a letter in response.
When Stanley sends information to commission members via email, he requests that they reply to him by telephone.
Stan informed us of a Seminar on Friday February 7, at the Holiday Inn, Center of NH in Manchester. The segment on Barns would take place between 10-11AM. Members were encouraged to attend.
Michael reported that there might be a long wait to get our road signs. There is a long waiting list and more documentation is needed.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:10.
