HERITAGE COMMISSION
June 22, 2004

The meeting was called to order at 7:30.  In attendance were Corinne Blagbrough, Robert Chouinard, Michael Dell’Orto, Dan Donovan, Gail Hoar, Phyllis Tallarico, and Stanley Young.

Neil Faiman donated a scanner and printer to the commission. It is now at Stan’s house until the computer is purchased and it can be set up at the library. Andy Roeper will give Michael further information about the computer purchase.

Since the state will not move forward on our historical roadside signs, Stanley Young will take the text completed by Michael Dell’Orto for the Wilton Center Sign to the sign maker to obtain an estimate on the price. Stan will be ordering a sign to identify the sight of the Town Pound.

David Vincent has completed the list of homes researched in the year 1800-1850 range. Anita Chouinard will again work on the letters to be sent out to the owners of these homes to advise them of the availability of the House Plaques.

On June 14 at 1PM, a tour of the interior of the Four Corners Farmhouse took place. According to Stanley there was nothing to protect. Most of the house is not practical to be saved. The outside of the house is being resided.

Frog Pond is for sale. Landowner Heidi Blackmar will be at a meeting at Town Hall at 7 PM on June 28 to provide details of the plan.

Dan Donovan, Selectman member, is looking at the by-laws regarding members individual terms of office. All the commission officers have held their appointed positions for some time now.

Corinne Blagbrough explained her idea of having lapel pins made up with hand painted houses to sell for raising money for the Heritage Commission. She will obtain further information to present at the next meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:25.

Robert A. Chouinard: Secretary
