TOWN OF WILTON
SELECTMEN’S MINUTES

Date:  November 29, 2004
Time:  7:00 pm
Place:  Town Office
Present: Selectmen Jerry Greene, Chair, Robert MacFarland and Daniel Donovan, III
  And Recording Secretary Peggy Arn

1) Selectman Greene gave the Board copies of budgets he helped prepare the Budget Committee and they were reviewed with no changes being made.
2) Building Inspector William Condra attended the meeting to report to the Board on an appeal of a building permit application and to ask their opinion.  After discussing the issue, Chairman Greene made the following motion:   The Board would support the issuance of the building permit as a result of review by the Planning Board, the Conservation Commission and the plot plan soil scientist’s review.  They were confident that the building of the storage shed would not infringe on the wetland setbacks.  Selectman Donovan seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
3) The Board discussed the issue of semi-annual collection of taxes in accordance with RSA 76:15-a, which states that the governing body has the authority to do so.  Selectman MacFarland made a motion that the Town of Wilton collect the taxes on a semi-annual basis starting in June 2005.  Selectman Donovan seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
4) Town Assessor Richard Rockwood attended the meeting.  He informed the Board of a plan of what he thought his job would entail next year and his salary.  After a discussion, Chairman Greene asked Mr. Rockwood if he would put his proposal in writing for the Board’s review.  He stated that he would do so.
5) The bills and payroll for the week ending November 27, 2004 were reviewed and approved.
6) One Veterans Exemption was reviewed and signed.  One Intent-to-Cut Lumber was approved and signed.
7) The correspondence and informational material was reviewed.
8) A Performance Bond for Talisman Properties was signed.
9) The meeting was adjourned on a motion at 8:35.

Respectfully submitted;
Peggy Arn, Recording Secretary
