PRINCE STREET
Chairman Greene called a public hearing to order to hear public comments in regard to making Prince Street a one way street.
Mr. Greene stated that the options are making it one way, “no parking” one side or “no left turn” from Tremont. Chief Hautanen stated that parking is difficult because there is already a parking problem. He suggested that the “no left turn” would help the congestion. Mr. Stuart Draper stated that he would not like to see more “one way streets” and that he would prefer the other options.
One resident of Tremont Street stated that he would prefer the no left turn because parents dropping of their children at the school are the problem.
Chief Hautanen stated that he had sent a letter home with the students asking parents to be aware of the danger on this street.
After the Board heard all comments, they stated that they will take them all into consideration and will review the options and make a decision.
Selectman Greene closed the public hearing at 7:40.
