Chairman Greene called a public hearing to order to review proposed ordinances and to review existing ordinances.

Present: Selectmen Jerry Greene, Daniel Donoval, III and David Glines, Stuart Draper, Charles McGettigan, Dennis Markiverich and Bill Parker.

Mr. McGettigan asked why the town was considering more stop and yield signs.  He stated that there should be more study of proposed stop signs and stated that he felt what was now in place was sufficient.  Selectman Greene stated that Chief Hautanen had asked to look into what they felt was needed for the safety of roads.  The Chief and Highway Agent submitted a list of what they considered to be needed.  The Board of Selectmen reviewed the list and it was presented to the Budget Committee for consideration.  The list has been pared down to the present list of proposed new stop or yield signs.  Mr. Draper stated that he questioned if all this was a waste of time and money.  He questioned if the proposed stop signs would be enforced.  Chief Brent stated that they would be.
