Present: Selectmen Daniel Donovan, III and David Glines and
Recording Secretary
1) The bills and payroll for the week ending January 21, 2006 were reviewed and approved.
2) Correspondence and informational material was reviewed.
3) The Board reviewed a letter from the Planning Board stating they had approved a sign application from Deb Degan for “The Woolery” and did the Board concur with their approval. The Board agreed and will write a letter of approval.
4) The Board signed three Current Use Lien Release forms.
5) Ray Dick attended the meeting and informed the Board the Fire Department was going to be receiving 26 2-Way Communications radios under the State of NH and Federal Homeland Security grant program. As Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, Daniel Donovan signed the grant agreement documents. The new radios will be installed in the fire trucks and some members of the Fire Department will have them.
6) Travis Belcher from Keyes Hill Road attended the meeting to ask the Board if the town had plans to work on Keyes Hill Road this year. He told the Board of all the problems that exit on the road and would like to request that something be done this summer. The Board informed Mr. Belcher that they would speak to the Road Agent to see what he had planned for road maintenance and that Keyes Hill Road was on the list of roads that need work.
7) Ms. Arn informed the Board that Mr. Khoury of Orchard View Drive had called and requested a letter from the Board stating the town’s answer to their request for reconsideration of plowing their private drive. Mr. Glines stated that a letter be sent stating the Board decision not to plow any private roads in Wilton.
The meeting was adjourned on a motion at 8:30 with all in favor.
