TOWN OF WILTON
SELECTMEN’S MINUTES

Date:  February 27, 2006
Time:  7:00
Place:  Town Office
Present:  Selectmen Daniel Donovan, III and David Glines

1) Jane and Tim Farrell and Charles McGettigan attended the meeting to discuss road realignment of Isaac Frye.  Selectman Glines expressed his concern about Lot H-062 having less than 200 feet of frontage due to lessening the length of the curve.  Charlie will check with Bob Todd on the issue and advise the Board of Selectmen.  It was noted that the stone wall will not be removed.  Also noted that this work would need Planning Board approval because of the four lot line adjustments.

2) At 7:30, Chairman Donovan adjourned the regular Selectmen’s meeting and adjourned to the Marden Road informational meeting.  Selectman Glines addressed the issues to the residents of Marden Road.  He explained the proposed improvements to the area between Wilton Center Road to Goldsmith Road.  Comments were made by residents expressing speed limits, culverts and width of road changes.  It was stated that the speed limit will be 20 miles per hour on Marden Road.  It was also noted that the road in front of Bill Parker’s house will be away from his house to a drain that will be under the road.  One proposed improvement is to narrow the end of Goldsmith to motorists to stop at the stop sign.  Discuss ensued as to the pros and cons of the proposed improvements.  No decision was made at this time.

3) The Selectmen reviewed the correspondence and informational material.  The bills and payroll for the week ending February 18 were reviewed and approved.

4) The meeting was adjourned on a motion, with all in favor.

Respectfully submitted;

Peggy Arn
