1) Robert Lorette of Edgewater Estates attended the meeting to ask the Selectmen if they had a response from Label Art concerning the constant humming from their building. The Board informed him that the Building Inspector had investigated the noise and he had reported his findings to the Board. A letter was written to Mr. Tardiff from the Selectmen asking that a representative attend a Selectmen’s meeting to discuss possible solutions to the noise, but as of yesterday, not response had been received. Ms. Arn will contact Mr. Tardiff tomorrow.
2) The Board reviewed a request from a Title Insurance Company to sign a Code and Zoning Compliance Certificate for Label Art. Chairman Donovan stated that the Board could not sign such a document stating they were in compliance because they have not responded to the noise complaint . The Board agreed and a letter will be sent to the Title Company stating that they will not sign the Certificate until this issue is resolved.
3) Selectman Rockwood asked if a letter had been sent to Jim Tuttle informing him that the Board would welcome him on the Emergency Service Committee. Peggy will write to him this week.
4) The Board agreed that starting May 1, 2006, they will start their summer schedule of meeting every other week.
5) Chairman Donovan signed a Purchase Order for the purchase of a utility trailer for the Cemetery Department.
6) One Veteran’s Exemption application was reviewed and approved.
