1) Maurice Guay informed the Board that one of his full time employees has given his notice. He informed the Board that he feels that he can use one part time employee for the winter and then consider a full time replacement. The Board agreed with his decision.
Maurice asked the Board for their approval of the purchase of a ¾" drive torque wrench to use on the wood chipper. His request was approved.
Maurice informed the Board that he had been approached by a new company to purchase recycled materials. The Board agreed that it would be a good idea to have two different companies for comparison.
2) Library Trustee and Treasurer Stanley Young attended the meeting to inform the Board of a couple of issues. He stated that the drainage project will start in November. Selectman Rockwood asked about the awarding of the contract and who had reviewed the contact. He stated that he would have Attorney Little review the contract, which had not been previously reviewed by legal counsel.
3) Mr. Young then informed the Board that as a member of the Heritage Commission he would like to ask their direction on how to handle what they consider to be a compromise of an historical building with an easement granted to the town. An outside stairway had been built going to the second story of the building and the owners had not gotten a building permit. After discussing the issue, it was agreed that Attorney Little will be contacted to ask that what he would recommend that the town do to rectify the situation.
4) The Board received a Local River Management Advisory Committee Nomination Form nominating Wilton resident William G. Mahar as a representative from Wilton. Chairman Donovan made a motion to appoint Mr. Mahar as to the LRMAC. The motion was seconded by Selectmen Greene and passed unanimously.
5) Two Current Use Change Tax applications were signed.
6) An issue of unregistered cars and questionable material being placed on Map & Lot No. B120 on Forest Road., The Board will contact the Department of Environmental Services and will have Building Inspector William Condra issue a Cease and Desist to get rid of the unregistered vehicles on the property.
7) Selectmen Rockwood presented the Board with a draft agreement between the Town of Wilton and the Wilton/Lyndeborough/Temple Volunteer Ambulance. The document was discussed but no action was taken at this time..
8) The annual fuel bid invitation will be sent out and it was agreed that the library and ambulance bay will be added to the bid form.
The meeting was adjourned on a motion at 8:35 with all in favor.
