1) Maurice attended the meeting to inform the Board of the final price that he had for the new bailer. The Board agreed that it was a good price.
2) Dawn Tuomala of Monadnock Survey attended the meeting. Ms. Tuomala presented the Board with two proposed subdivision applications. After review by the Board, it was agreed that there would not be any off-site improvements necessary therefore no inpact donation necessary. Barry Greene’s common driveway name of Applewood Drive was acceptable to the Board.
3) Tax Collector Jane Farrell attended the Board to discuss several issues. She presented the Board with the 2006 Tax Warrant for signatures. She informed the Board that the new program of doing the State portion of the registration is going well. It does require more time by staff. The majority of residents are happy to have this service. Out of 661 registrations done in November, 448 people did the state portion at the town office. The town makes $2.50 for each state registration completed. Jane also asked if the Board would approve a new checking account to be opened at TD Bank north. The reason being that the state works directly with them and using their services would eliminate a couple of steps that have to be done with Ocean at the present. The Board approved the request.
4) Jane then asked the Board if she could use a new part-time person to fill in during the holidays when her employees take vacation. The Board informed her that they would have to have the budget figures for part-time clerks before giving her permission.
5) Ms. Farrell then informed the Board that she had received several questions pertaining to the Water Commissioners and how they were formed. The Board discussed her issues and both Selectmen commented that they had not received any complaints. She asked the Board if they would consider the Board being regular town department. No decision was made at this time.
6) The Board asked that Mr. Condra to look into a complaint reported to them that the tenants living in the apartment building on Forest Road have been dumping trash on the bank of the Stony Brook and that trash is being dumped into the water. Mr. Condra will be asked to look into the problem.
7) The Board approved and signed an abatement of taxes assessed on Lot J-048 owned by the Wilton Main Street Association.
8) The Board reviewed and signed one Veteran’s Tax Exemption.. The yearly contract with NRPC was also signed by Chairman Donovan.
9) The bills and payroll for the week ending December 2, 2006 were reviewed and approved.
10) The informational material and correspondence was reviewed.
11) The meeting was adjourned on a motion at 8:40 pm, with all in favor.
Respectfully submitted;
