Present: Selectmen Jerry Greene, Richard Rockwood, Daniel Donovan, III and Recording Secretary Peggy Arn

1) Chairman Jerry Greene called the meeting to order then closed the meeting to call a non-public session per RSA 91-A:3,II(a), Personnel Matter.  The regular Selectmen’s meeting was called to order at 7:35.

2) The Board signed a letter to all Merchants on Main Street asking them to be conscious of parking and to give written suggestions relative to Lot 48 or other issues of concern to the Board.

3) The Board reviewed the plans for parking spaces on Main Street and the time limits.  They decided that the handicap parking space should go on the left side of the speed hump facing the Melting Pot.  The other handicap spot will be placed right side of the cross walk in front of C & S and Joan Lemire’s.  It was then agreed that the 6 parking spaces between the two handicap spots be limited to 30 minute parking.

A Public Hearing will be set for Monday, October 29th at 7:00 PM to hear comments on:
1.  6 spaces for 30 minute parking from 8:00 am to 8:00 PM between handicap spots.
2. No over-night parking from 12:00pm to 6:00 am on public streets.
3. The 2 hour parking on Main Street during the week will stay in place.
4. The latitude of the Board to issue permit parking.

4) The Board then discussed the request from Carl Anderson for parking spaces over-night for this two tenants. They thought that two parking spaces in the public parking lot at the end of Main Street by Proctor could be set aside for permit parking.  There would be a sign designating the two spaces for parking between the hours of 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

5) The Board reviewed a report from Bill Condra on his investigation of  a complaint of farm animals in a residential area.  He found no livestock on the premises.  A letter will be sent to the person who had made the complaint.

6) The Board reviewed and approved the bills and the payroll for the week ending October 13, 2007.  The correspondence and informational material was reviewed.

7) The Board will meet on October 22 and 29th.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 PM on a motion, with all in favor.
