Condra And Recording Secretary Peggy Arn
1) The bills and payroll for the week ending February 7, 2009 were reviewed
and approved.
2) The informational material and correspondence was reviewed.
3) The Board discussed the request from Mark Schultz, Director of MACC
Base to rescind their decision to leave MACC Base effective December 31,
2009. Discussion ensued and the Board agreed that they would in order
to help keep the Center going but that they would continue to explore other
service providers for the protection of Wilton.
MOTION: Selectman Donovan made a motion to rescind the notice
given to MACC Base that the Town of Wilton was going to withdraw from the
Center effective December 31, 2009. The motion was seconded by Selectman
Condra, which passed unanimously.
4) The Board set the date for the town portion of the annual town meeting
to be Friday, March 13, 2009 at 7:30 at the Elementary School.
5) At 7:00 pm, Chairman Rockwood called a public hearing to hear comments
on changing the name of a private road off Abbot Hill Road. Two residents
that own houses on Duling Lane asked the name to be changed. The
name suggested by a resident was “Bittersweet Lane”. No objections
were voiced.
MOTION: Selectman Condra made a motion to change the name Duling
Lane to Bittersweet Lane. Selectman Donovan seconded the motion,
which carried unanimously.
Selectman Donovan made a motion to adjourn the public hearing and resume
the regular meeting.
6) Chairman Rockwood adjourned the regular meeting and called a non
public session per RSA 91-A:II(d).
7) At 9:00 Chairman Rockwood called the regular meeting to order.
8) Chairman Rockwood informed the Board that a meeting had been set
up to go over the 2009 proposed budget for the Recycling Center with Temple
and Mason.
9) The Board approved the purchase of a new computer for the Selectmen’s
office.
The meeting was adjourned on a motion at 9:20 pm.
