TOWN OF WILTON
SELECTMEN’S MINUTES

Date:  November 9, 2009
Time:  6:30 pm
Place:  Town Office
Present: Selectmen Daniel Donovan, III, William Condra and Richard Rockwood and Recording Secretary Peggy Arn

Chairman Donovan informed the Board that Ambulance Director Gary Zirpolo had contacted him to make him aware of a problem he has encountered with the dispatching of the ambulance.  The problem is  the pages presently being used.  The voice pagers are not able to tone on two channels nor be used for two dispatch centers.  The result is that they cannot be toned from MACC Base and KMA at the same time.  This can result in a delay in response time.  After discussion of this issue, the Board agreed to set up a meeting with the Towns of Lyndeborough and Temple, MACC Base and KMA to come up with a solution to take care of this problem.

Randy Haight of Meridian Land Services attended the meeting to discuss a subdivision plan for Roger Clapp on Goldsmith Road.  The plan proposes that Map and Lot Number C-101 which consists of 33 acres will become 10 single family building lots.  There will be 6 driveways.  Discussion ensued as to the amount to be given to the town for any road repairs that would be necessary as a result of the new lots.  Discussion ensued but no decision was made at this time.  The Board will ask the Road Agent to attend next week’s meeting to discuss his opinion and plans for the road.  Mr. Haight will also attend the meeting.

The Board discussed the Emergency Service Committee status.  Selectman Condra asked when the Committee was formed and how it was decided who would serve on the Committee.  Discussion ensued and all agreed that the Committee was not open to just anyone who wanted to be on it.  Selectman Condra is now going to be the person in charge and will work on setting up a meeting in the near future.

Ms. Arn was instructed by Chairman Donovan to sent letters to Temple and Lyndeborough requesting their portion of the new ambulance.  The ambulance is scheduled to be delivered on November 30, 2009.

The Board reviewed and signed the bills and payroll for the week ending November 7, 2009.  A non-taxable certificate for the purchase of gas was signed by the Chairman.

A resident had asked if the Court Room in the Town Office was available to be used for business purposes.  The Board stated that the Town Office is to be used for only non-profit organizations.

The correspondence was reviewed.

Selectman Rockwood told the Board that Wilton’s Boston Post Cane recipient is turning 100 years old.  He suggested that the Board present her with a letter of congratulations on this momentous occasion.  All agreed.

The meeting was adjourned on a motion at 8:00 PM, with all in favor.

Respectfully submitted;

Peggy Arn, Recording Secretary
