Minutes of 14 March 2005 Meeting

WCC opened at 7:10 PM on Monday, March 14, 2005 in the Town Hall Selectmen’s Office to conduct its monthly meeting.  Members present:  Lynne, Spencer, Laurence and Alan; Les is on vacation.

• Open Space Bond – Members reviewed and critiqued Lynne’s presentation to be given at the Town Meeting on Thursday, March 17, 2005.  Suggestions were made and incorporated into the presentation.  Lynne thought perhaps the presentation should be made shorter.  However, after discussion, all agreed that this was an “educational” presentation as well as an effort to persuade the voters to vote in support of the Bond, so we should leave it as is.  Discussion was had on getting out the vote; Spencer will post more of the handouts which were available at voting on March 8th, and an e-mail campaign has been started.  The Handouts will also be available at Town Meeting.
• Frog Pond – Members reviewed and critiqued Spencer’s presentation to be given at the Town Meeting on Thursday, March 17, 2005.  A few suggestions were made, otherwise the presentation was accepted as is.  The Frog Pond has been featured in both the Milford Cabinet and Nashua Telegraph, so there is plenty of publicity out there.
• NRI – Discussed the basics of the NRI in case there were any questions to be answered at Town Meeting.
• Next Meeting – As of this date, next meeting is Monday, March 21; however, at Town Meeting the members will discuss if there is a need for this meeting, and if not, it will be cancelled and next meeting will be April 11th.
