Notices of this public hearing were posted in the proper places in Town and in the Nashua Telegraph in accordance with NH State RSA for the expending funds from the Conservation Acquisition Fund. Chairperson Lynne Draper called the public hearing to order and it ran from 7:01 PM – 7:17 PM on Wednesday, April 25, 2007. The monies in question will be for the purpose of holding an easement on Lots H-15, H-38 and a portion of H-41 located on Abbot Hill Road. Public comments were received by the Commission about the fund balance and general input about the needed language for the motion to meet the requirements of the project’s other funding sources .
Present were the entire WCC and Anthony Graham, Daniel Zabara, Mark Whitehill, Charles McGettigan, Rose Draper, and Selectman Richard Rockwood. Press member Jessie Salisbury was present.
Following the public hearing, the Commission discussed the matter, and made the following motion:
Move to pay out monies from the land acquisition fund in the amount of not-to-exceed Forty-five thousand dollars ($45,000.00) for a conservation easement on lots H-15, H-38 and a portion H-41, totaling altogether 18 acres, located on Abbot Hill Road, and requesting the Selectmen to sign the Purchase and Sales Agreement; the Town of Wilton to be an easement holder in cooperation with the US Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program.
The motion was made by Lynne, seconded by Les. The motion passed unanimously.
At 7:30 PM a motion to adjourn was made by Spencer, seconded by Les.
