Wilton Water Works Minutes

COMMISSIONERS:  Chairperson Jim Tuttle; Charles McGettigan and Stanley Schultz.   Jim Tuttle called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m.

Minutes – September 24, 2008

MOTION:     (McGettigan/Schultz) to approve 9/24/08 minutes as amended. All were in favor.

OLD BUSINESS

1.    Holt Road Chlorinator Building – The commissioners will meet at the site and decide how to dismantle the building and cap over the top.

2.    Interior Tank Painting – The insurance certificate and the bid bond requirements as well as the signed contracts were received from Limerick. These will be sent to Merrithew.

3.    Water Rate Increase Study – McGettigan will contact Rural Water and set up a meeting for November 10th – 14th. (This has been on the agenda since March, 2008)

4.    Meter Reading and Billing – Tuttle reported that what Pennichuck needs is the location of each meter. McGettigan will a) get a printout of all customers from the town office and b) visit each customer and write down the location of the meter/s.

5.    Backflow Device Installations  - Bob Bragdon has not done the installations yet. McGettigan mentioned that both Bob Draper and Dave and Diane Doran do not have backflow devices. No action taken.

6.    Backflow Device Testing – McGettigan will make the appointments for Pennichuck to do the testing this week.

7.    Sanitary Survey – Tuttle reported that Bob Mann completed the survey. The only concern he had was that he would like to see containment collars around the chemical drums. McGettigan will purchase them.

NEW BUSINESS

1.    Emergency Plan Update – Tuttle will work on it.

2.    FTC Red Flag Identity Theft Enforcement – Schultz will work on this.

 

 MOTION:    (McGettigan/Tuttle) To adjourn the meeting. All were in favor.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
